Fall Commencement

Fall commencement is Friday, Dec. 19. Ceremonies will be held in Cassell Coliseum.

  • 10:30 a.m. University Commencement
  • 2:30 p.m. Graduate School Ceremony

Spring Commencement

Spring commencement ceremonies will be May 9-16. Please note ceremony dates, times, and locations may be different from previous years.

All master’s degree graduates will be recognized at individual college ceremonies. The Graduate School Ceremony will only recognize Ph.D. candidates and interdisciplinary graduate education programs.

All commencement ceremonies will be livestreamed and available online.

Saturday, May 9

  • 9 a.m.-noon Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine at the Jefferson Center in Roanoke

Wednesday, May 13

  • 3-5 p.m. Graduate School (Ph. D. and interdisciplinary graduate education programs only) in Cassell Coliseum
